Intensive & Critical Care

The ICU provides acute care for those patients who are generally unstable, critically ill and those in urgent need of advanced monitoring and intensive treatments. These tasks are carried out with precision, synchronization and coordination of a multidisciplinary team with unwavering commitment and teamwork.

Our Critical care team provides a full spectrum of Medical, Surgery and trauma critical care services to the sickest of the patients. The Physicians are highly skilled and specialized. The nursing care is focused to meet the psychological, physical and emotional needs of the patients.

Emergency And Trauma Centre

State-of-the art emergency unit with facilities of International Standards, is open 24 hours, 365 days a year providing the following services.

Pre-Hospital Care:
Facilities for providing ambulance which are equipped with Oxygen, suction and life saving equipments and medication. The treatment of acutely ill or injured patients is done by trained doctors. The ambulances have mobile phone communication system with the Emergency Department of the hospital and the details of patients condition are passed on the qualified team waiting in Emergency.

Obstetrics & Gynecology:

Preventive Healthcare
At Imperial we believe that preventive Healthcare begins with the care of the healthy. We have program in both gynecology and obstetrics, for prevention and early detection of disorders. Our well women checkup is designed to detect the earliest signs of disorders of the breast and the organs of reproduction, and care to your contraceptive needs. An ultrasound scan of pelvis and a pap-smear of the cervix and mammography if indicated are an integral part of our well women checkup.

Ante-Natal care
We offer Ante-natal checkup with Ante-natal and parent craft classes, specially designed for mothers to be and fathers to be in preparing for the task ahead, both physically and psychologically.

Painless Labour
We offer pain relief in labour by psycho-prophylaxis (antenatal classes). We have trained doctors monitoring the condition of mother and child round the clock, under guidance of senior consultants.

High Risk Pregnancy
We have highly trained obstetricians to look after patients with high-risk pregnancies such as those with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, previous pregnancy losses, growth retarted babies etc. through the pregnancy and labour backed up by the NICU.

Conventional Gynaecology
Our consultant Gynaecologist provide specialist medical as well as surgical management of all types of gynaecological problem i.e. Menstrual abnormalities, prolapse, fibroids and other tumours of the uterus and ovaries, tubal recanalistion by microsurgery and treatment of the infertile couple. High-risk surgical patients (such as those with high BP, heart disease etc) are cared for with special monitoring in the OT and then in ICU as backup if required. special emphasis is on gynaecological endocrinology problem. Menopausal women are card for in our menopause clinics with routine checkup and HRT.

Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgeries

Internal Medicine

The department of Internal Medicine consists of senior consultants, who have trained and worked at leading medical Institutes. The department provides broad range of services for diagnosis and treatment of multiple adult medical problems. It includes the following:

• Critical care
• Management of chronic diseases involving multi-system is done by senior consultant of department of medicine, where co-ordinations between different specialist & holistic care of patient is very much desired.
• It has exclusive section for preventive health , which is set up with maxim "Prevention is better than cure" It deals with various types of preventive health checks seven days a week including public holiday.

Infectious diseases is major problem in our part of world. It includes Malaria, Typhoid fever, Tuberculosis, HIV, Dengue fever etc. Most of these diseases present with fever & general symptoms, which are investigated in depth & treated. Sometimes times these diseases present as Septicaemia & shock.

Department of Pediatrics headed by Dr. N. B. Rajoria, along with a team of outstanding pediatricians; offer world class out-door, in-door and emergency services .

IPCU/NICU:
Well-trained critical care specialist pediatrician is available round the clock who handles every kind of emergency effectively. Besides, sick infants and children from other hospitals requiring advanced intensive care are escorted by the intensivist and transported in stable condition with adequate support during transit.

Imperial Hospital offers state-of-the art care in various pediatric specialities by a team of pediatricians covering all major fields in Pediatrics. To provide comprehensive management of problems of neonates and children, excellent support is available from experts in rehabilitation and physiotherapy, dietetics and nutrition, child guidance, etc. The center has well equipped Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units of International standards. We also offer facilities for transport of critically ill babies and children.

Neonatology

Neonatology is the specialised care of the sick and the new born including premature and tiny babies. We offer one of the most advanced neonatal units, ushers in a new era in neonatal medicine. The Neonatal ICU is 12 bedded equipped with all the sophisticated facilities.

Advanced technology, backed by conventional neonate management technology (incubators, high-tech monitoring including blood pressure, oxygen levels in the blood, blood gas analysis etc.) are in routine use. The department of neonatal surgery is also supported by neonatal transport service. The unit has extensive experience in dealing with all kinds of major congenital anomalies and consistently produces excellent results.

Surgery
The department of general surgery has now become a Secondary & Tertiary referral center. An increasing number of patients with complex ailments and patients treated or operated at other centers are routinely referred to us.

Apart from those requiring common leparoscopic and general surgical operations, quite a number of patients with problems like acute severe pancreatitis, Septic Abdomen, Complex thyroid diseases and other problems, are treated

OPD SERVICES:
We provide a large range of consultative, diagnostic and surgical services to people whose health complaints do not warrant hospitalization, through our Out-Patient Dept. (OPD) Services. Consultants from various specialties have an OPD clinic schedule and patients can also consult them after taking prior appointment from the OPD Desk.
